As I'm sure the holidays are for everyone, my weekend was a mix of chaos and zen... 

Chaos

My first attempt at baking / supervising Christmas Cookies.

Filled with fussin' n cussin' and one "I suck" facecrack status update.

Zen

Having the house to myself for a few hours of wrapping and continued cookie setup.

While the cookie baking started out frantic, eventually I found my rhythm.

And, check the snowmen magically lining up at the cut edge of that wrap job!  Yeah baby!  Skillz!

Chaos/Zen

Dressember 24th was 100% Thrifty, except socks.

Little bit of patternmixing before my mad dash to the 'Mart for last minute stuff like batteries.  

Actually made it out of there in record time (almost all the checkouts were open!) 

and got an "Is that a dress or skirt? [dress] It's so cute!" compliment from my cashier.

Aftermath mess/cleanup of cookie decoration... but, look- Wiley figured out to mix babypoop brown!

Who was it again that told Aunt Cathy to get the boys remote control trucks? 

Zen

Dressember 25th was 100% Thrifty (& more patternmixy), except tights (black & purple stripes!). A repeat from last year.

Home from the inlaws', boys entertained in another room, before a "parents only" NetFlix viewing, 

I sprawled out on our stolen new-to-us, just-barely-wedged-in, 

formerly-worth-$4K-and-now-covered-with-a-sheet couch,

 and asked Stew to capture my frazzled beauty a la Jack & Rose.  Ha ha.
