Welcome to my ad-free (except self promotion!) lifestyle blog, madam0wl.com.
Formerly a CAD Trainer and Tech Support, then a Textiles & Clothing teaching assistant / Lecturer. After earning a Masters degree I chose to stay home to focus on my family and to pursue creative interests.
I'm now half-way through my third year of stay-at-home-momming and sure, I've had some regrets. There have been a few low points along the way, but several highs, and now I'm venturing into happy medium. This blog is one of my creative outlets.
As a thirtysomething mother I still feel on the verge of adulthood: fighting zits but owning up to gray hairs; reclaiming 80s relics from my childhood but tasting other vintages at the same time; proudly sharing fitness achievements but also quivering with parenting guilt.
For the past several years I have published posts on topics ranging from DIY personal style to parenthood struggles.
Primarily I share my love for thrift shopping and wardrobe reuse, i.e. I’m in my 4th year of not purchasing any “new” clothes. I also blog about textile design projects, daily outfits, and fitness goals.
While the reader audience is small and personal (averaging 50 visits a day), there is an international reach, with the top ten visitor countries being; US, UK, Canada, France, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, Germany, Norway and Brazil.
